The MG 151 was originally designed in the 15 mm calibre (1940) and was the main armament of early Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 fighters. The cannon was redesigned as the 151/20 in 1941 and fired a 20 mm cartridge. This model is the more common MG151/20.
